Our Story
An legacy of social work
The Women’s India Association (WIA) was founded in 1973 by a few women who were interested in social work. Our primary purpose is to encourage women, mostly homemakers, to be active in social work and do good for society in whatever way they could.
To sustain this vision, the Padmasree Kalyana Mandapam was set up as a means of livelihood for the association. The revenue generated from donations and the hall directly funds our ongoing activities focused on charity and women empowerment.
