New Member Application About Women's Indian Association (WIA) Founded in 1971: The Women's Indian Association (WIA) is a non-governmental charitable organization committed to the empowerment and welfare of women and children. A Historic Legacy: In 1973, a group of visionary and trailblazing women took the remarkable initiative of constructing Padmasree Hall, which stands as the first marriage hall in Kerala to be entirely managed by women. Today, WIA consists of around 250 members and a well-coordinated Executive Committee of 14 members working together as a dedicated team.
